Lebanon used to be covered with connected forests. years of cutting and fires left separate small stands. In a scientific mapping study, we designated a 500m wide corridor on which reforestation is possible and can help reconnect forests. working with the local communities and creating jobs and incentives for the local vulnerable citizens, we are working towards populating this corridor and creating various local economic activities around it, including agroforestry, beekeeping, tourism, herb collection and processing, and so on.
