The Senior Site Engineer plays a technical, organizational, and supervisory role on construction projects. This includes setting out and determining the exact location of above ground and underground infrastructure required for construction operations.
requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in civil or Electromechanical engineering (BE) or equivalent. • Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in engineering and site supervision. • Solid knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, and best practices in civil/mechanical engineering and construction. • Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills. • Proven ability to supervise, guide, and review the work of others in a constructive and effective manner. • Proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative and apply practical problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with teams, manage workers, and respond to client inquiries.
responsibilities
• Set out, level, and survey the site. • Check plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy and completeness. • Ensure that all materials used and work performed comply with specifications. • Oversee the selection, requisition, and procurement of materials and equipment. • Liaise effectively with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project. • Manage day-to-day site operations, including supervision and monitoring of the labor force and subcontractor performance. • Ensure adherence to quality control standards and site health and safety regulations. • Prepare regular project reports and documentation as required. • Resolve unexpected technical challenges and address any issues that may arise on-site. • Prepare inspection requests and submit all required supporting documents for consultant approval. • Prepare and draft accurate as-built drawings using AutoCAD. • Take off quantities and prepare corresponding Bill of Quantities (BOQ) • Prepare, review and understand the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), monitor site progress against BOQ items, and assist in updating and verifying quantities for payment and variation purposes. • Coordinate with the quantity surveyor to ensure alignment between site execution and BOQ deliverables.
